get to know about
TRANSMIGRATION TRANSFORMATION

The transmigration program in Indonesia has existed since the Dutch colonial period, starting in 1905. At that time, in addition to reducing population density on the island of Java, its main objective was to meet the labor demands outside of Java. This program became a form of population mobility or relocation, which was not only undertaken by individuals but could also involve families or even entire villages. Based on historical data, transmigration in Indonesia originated from a migration program more commonly known as "kolonisatie proof," which translates to "colonization."
